Mr. Brandon Carlton is a well-known percussionist in his local community of Cleburne, TX where he started out playing for local churches at the age of 8. He then moved to Barstow, CA where he studied musical arts throughout his school years while continuing to serve on the worship team for his local and regional church community! He enlisted in The Marine Corps to serve his country and pursue a passion to play in the Marine Corps Band, 1st Marine Division! He attended the Armed Forces School of Music, Norfolk, VA where he learned valuable lessons and disciplines crucial to the development of every career musician!

He has been blessed to play for several artist of all genres of music and has been grateful to play timpani under many great conductors from various symphonies around the U.S! Mr. Carlton continues to find ways to keep the musical arts alive in the hearts of people everywhere he goes by creating an environment that challenges all drummers and percussionists to keep growing!

Testimony

Mr. Carlton was honorably discharged from the MarineCorps Camp Pendleton, CA and returned to his home state of Texas where he began recovering from a back injury he endured while on active duty. He began volunteer work with Texas Workforce for Veterans with disabilities, with his late Aunt Anita Groover, to educate about VA benefits and provide steps for transitioning into civilian life.  He is married with four children and who keep him actively involved in their community and invested in their future.

Mr. Carlton’s back injury caused severe nerve damage to his right leg that got so bad, it left him paralyzed and unable to walk. During his recovery journey, he met his wonderful wife, Amanda who became his best friend, caretaker, and later his forever-y-thing. She helped him in ways unimaginable and encouraged him to keep moving.Eventually, Mr. Carlton re-gained use of his leg and began to play again for his Church and surrounding areas sharing his testimony of how God preserved his gift!

His Vision for Flam Tap Studio was birthed out of the desire to train and teach the younger generation to use their gift for Kingdom Building! Mr. Carlton passionately encourages musicians to shine bright wherever they go in the world; to be a beacon of hope, and to continue to grow in their musicianship! Being a Percussionist has opened so many doors and opportunities for Mr. Carlton. He believes strongly that it will do the same for others as well.
