“We Keep Growing”
First, please give yourself a pat on the back for affording yourself the opportunity to grow in your gift/talent!
Our mantra, “We Keep Growing,” comes from wise words spoken by my late grandfather. To simply remain teachable and continue to Learn.
“When you’re green, you’re growing! Once you’re ripe, you begin to rot away.”
Let’s not have the mindset of thinking, “we have arrived,” due to how much we know but instead, let’s continue to learn, grow and develop as“Life” itself, is a Life Learning process! I look forward to seeing all musicians, that cross my path, develop into great musicians!
Parent Responsibilities
The parent's attitude and involvement are vital to a child's success in music. It is important that your children have the opportunity to practice, without interruption, and attend their lessons on a regular basis. Good. habits encourage success!
To help your child remember to practice, I ask that you give them a gentle reminder each day. Please never force your child to practice. Practice is al earned behavior and will come more naturally over time.
In time, positive reinforcement, sincere praise and patience will help your child become great at practicing!
If your child encounters difficulties in learning or practicing, please let me know. Communication is very important. I want all students to be successful and continue to grow. Together we will accomplish this goal!
The Online Database, MyMusicStaff.com, will contain notes from lessons, practice logs and other useful information about what our goals are! Students and parents will be given their own login info and passwords. All billing and invoices will be sent through Paypal via MyMusicStaff!!!

Cancellations
All cancellations in billing for any enrollment (performance program, lessons +, additional instrument lessons, etc.) require 30 days notice. The reason for this is so we can appropriately schedule our instructors time so they have no gaps in their schedule, and so we can effectively cancel billing.
The cancellation needs to be in writing or via text or call. Without a 30day notice for a billing cancellation, you will be prorated for the following month to 30 days after notification. In some instances, this will equal a full month tuition.
Student Drop Off/Pick Up
Students may be dropped off up to 10 minutes before lesson begins; and should be picked up no later than 10 minutes after their lesson ends. Students are required to wait inside the studio until his/her Parent arrives.
Parent Observation
Visitors during the lesson may be a distraction for students. I ask that you be sensitive to the learning environment and allow confidence to play its role in developing a Stage Musician! Sometimes it’s best to just listen outside the room! Parents may sit in just as long as you are not a distraction!
Practice
Practice is important to learn and grow as a musician. The goal I have set for my students is for them to become self-motivated when practicing.
Drum Students are encouraged to practice their Lesson at least 30 mins twice a day! Since Lessons are based on the assessment of student growth and development, drum exercises will be included with each Lesson assignment.(Practice Logs are also integrated in MyMusicStaff.com)
Students should perform these exercises as often as they can to aide in the development of Stick Control, Finger Control, Fulcrum, Posture and DynamicResponse.
There are many fun ways to encourage practice. If you have a concern that your child is not practicing enough, please contact me and let me know. I am here to help!
I look forward to growing with you.
Have patience in the process of continual growth!
